Remember to use Save As & NOT Save so that you will not rewrite the original. To create your own personal Profile, click on Save As & rename it something like My Profile. Remember that any changes you make will only effect the Profile that you are in. Use the Add/Remove buttons & change the order of the tools in your Toolbox. To customize your Profile’s Toolbox, go to Edit > Profiles > Commands to change the tools available in your Toolbox & Marquee Handles. This allows you the change the number of colors available for the Studio look only, & not the Primary view. Go to Edit >Profiles > Layout to change the layout of your Toolbox. Why is it different in the Primary look? The Primary look is designed for younger students to use, & when you use the Page & Resource Browser the browsers appear at the bottom of the screen where smaller students can reach them.Ĭustomize the Layout of your flipchart. In the Studio mode the Page & Resource Browsers are located within the browsers. In ActivInspire – Primary mode, the Page & Resource Browser icons are automatically included within your toolbox.
You can add & remove tools that you need or don’t need. Toolboxes have your most common tools that you can use. You can use them as provided, or customize them further to suit your needs. Their names indicate their intended purpose. Profiles are the preset tools in the Toolbox & settings. ProfilesĪctivInspire includes five built-in Profiles. The Toolbox Options menu allows you to place your Toolbox or Browser in a different location where it is the easiest for you to use & access. Both the Browsers & Toolbox can be unpinned where they slide to the side. Tools can be added & removed from the Toolbox. The Toolbox is where your most used tools are located. They are usually on the left side of your screen. The Browsers is the meat & heart of Inspire when designing pages. In the right corner of the screen, you can also quickly switch between Page Scale Options & Fullscreen Mode. If you see one that is starred (*) it means that something has been changed on that flipchart & it needs to be saved. The Document Tabs shows you all the flipcharts that are currently opened. You can access Fullscreen, the Browsers, Document Tabs, the Flipchart Trashcan, & the Dashboard in the View menu. Close Inspire & reopen it to the new look.Ĭhoose the look & feel of your flipcharts. There is a box to check if you want to change your view. To change between the Primary & Studio look, click on Configure. To reopen the Dashboard once you close it, go to View > Dashboard. You can uncheck the box in the Dashboard if you do not want this to be opened first every time you open ActivInspire. All the shortcuts can be found throughout the program in the main menu or toolbox. It is essentially a shortcut to options within the program. (Note: Most of the images in the flipcharts were taken while in Studio mode.)
Studio look is designed to be used in classrooms for third grade on up. Primary mode is designed to be used with students in early childhood to third graders. There is really no differences between the two. These two systems were combined with ActivInspire came out.
